A discussion on the Group. The Group since its inception in 1969 has always focussed on the HSE’s areas of concern in Scotland however recently direct contact has been lost for the members as no HSE representatives now attend the meeting as they do not have staff and time available to provide information and listen to the industries comments. The Group and its members spend considerable amounts of time on “Working well together” initiatives to try to improve health and safety standards in smaller businesses.
We would also like to discuss topics such as membership fees, whether monthly meetings are still the right way to be going, member involvement etc.
